About Us

Meet the Board of Directors

Every cause has a life altering story. Diesel’s FootPrint is the story of most families with pets – for us “it all started with Diesel”

When faced with an impossible choice, it’s reassuring to know others understand your struggle. Diesel’s Footprint was founded by people who have experienced the overwhelming burden of veterinary bills that force a choice between your pet’s health and financial security.

We are here to support pet owners and their pet dog or cat. ❤️

Kaajal Tiwary

Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Kaajal Tiwary, Certified Dog Trainer and founder of D For Dogz, has been helping dogs—and their humans—live happier, more harmonious lives since 2012. Her certifications with Karen Pryor Academy, Animal Behavior College, Family Paws Parent Education, and Puppy Start Right reflect her dedication to humane, effective, and evidence-based training. She specializes in behavior modification for dogs experiencing fear, frustration, or over-excitement, helping families build stronger bonds with their pets.

Kaajal’s heart dog, Diesel, faced serious medical and behavioral challenges after a traumatic dog attack, testing his resilience and strengthening the bond they shared. Inspired by his journey, Kaajal established Diesel’s FootPrint & the Diesel Memorial Fund providing dogs facing similar challenges with compassionate training, support, and guidance to help them and their families thrive.

🐾 Pet Guardians Care Deeply About Their Pets: We assume that pet guardians, regardless of their financial situation, have a strong emotional bond with their pets and are committed to their well-being.

🐾 Financial Barriers Prevent Access to Veterinary Care: We recognize that many low-income pet guardians encounter financial challenges that can make it difficult to access essential veterinary care for their pets with acute or chronic health issues.

🐾 Behavioral Issues in Pets Can Be Addressed Through Training: We believe that behavioral issues like fear, anxiety, and aggression in pets can be effectively addressed and improved through specialized positive reinforcement training programs.

🐾 Educational Resources Enhance Pet Care: We assume that providing pet guardians with access to educational resources on pet care, nutrition, health management, and community support to navigate emotional stress,  will improve their ability to care for their pets.

🐾 Partnerships Enhance Program Effectiveness: We assume that forming partnerships with veterinary clinics, dog trainers, and animal welfare organizations will enhance the effectiveness and reach of our programs.

🐾 Community Support Networks Are Valuable: We assume that creating strong community support networks will provide pet guardians with the emotional and practical support needed to manage their pets’ health and well-being.

🐾 Care Giver Support Groups: Caring for a chronically ill pet is a journey filled with love, worry, and tough decisions. Support groups offer a space to share your struggles, find strength in others who truly understand, and take comfort in knowing you and your pet are seen, heard, and supported.
